Thomas Løvendahl Sørensen is a Danish footballer of Stoke City and the national team.
Thomas went in for football when he was a child. Sørensen was groomed in the academy of Danish side Erritsø, from where he moved first to Odense BK and then to Assens, but did not manage to make any appearances for those clubs. In 1996 the player transferred to Vejle and featured in six games of the new team before joining Svendborg. In 1998 English side Sunderland secured Thomas’s services, but after the club was relegated to the Championship in 2003, Aston Villa won the footballer over to their fold. In 2008 Sørensen sealed a contract with Stoke City.
From 1999 till 2012, Thomas was capped for the Denmark national team. He made his 100th appearances for the national squad on 29 February 2012.
