Tiago Abiola Delfim Almeida Ilori is a defender of Liverpool. He was born on 26 February 1993 in London, England.
Tiago started his football career with Imortal in 2004. He trained at the club’s academy during two years, before moving to Portugal. He was spotted by Sporting and drafted into their academy. In the summer 2006, Ilori was loaned out to Estoril, where the footballer got his first playing experience. After coming back, Tiago continued his training at the youth department until 2011.
In 2011, his first professional contract was signed with Sporting. During the 2011/2012 season, Tiago made only occasional appearances for the main team. But the head coach had never forgotten about the young player and gave him every chance to reveal his potential.
In the summer 2013 the young defender received an offer from English giants Liverpool and sealed a move. Half a year later Ilori was loaned to Granada.
During the 2010/2011 season, Tiago took part in two matches for the Portugal U-18 team. In 2011, the footballer became the representative of the U-19 team, making 5 appearances and scoring one goal.
