Tiago Cintra is a forward of Beira-Mar. He was born on 5 July 1989 in Amarante, Portugal.
In 2002 Cintra began his youth career in football. He succeeded at the try-out to the academy of Leixões. From that moment to 2005 Tiago was a promising young footballer who showed impressive development. In 2004 the player was loaned to Padroense where he spent one season.
In 2005 Sintra prompted interest from the Lisbon club Porto which wanted to get this talented Portuguese footballer. He was the product of Porto’s academy for three years before he started playing football professionally which is the most important stage of career for every footballer.
In the middle of the year 2008 Sintra signed a contract with Leixões where he had played in the youth squad. The duration of this contract was four years. In the first season he was sent on loan to Amarante where he spent a year. During his spell with the temporary team the Portuguese took part in 29 matches and found the net 10 times. From 2009 to January 2012 Tiago sometimes played for Leixões where he scored 3 goals in 37 games.
In January 2012 Tiago Sintra sealed a deal with Beira-Mar where he spent the second half of the 2011/12 season. The forward can fit in with the club and in the future he can even become one of its key attacking players due to his abilities of an aggressive and fast footballer.
From 2006 to 2009 Tiago Cintra made 8 appearances and kicked 4 goals from the Portugal U-17 and U-21 football teams.
