A Brazilian footballer Paulo César Fonseca do Nascimento, also known as Tinga, acts as a central midfielder for Cruzeiro. He was born on 13 July 1978 in Porto Alegre.
Tinga started his junior career in 1994 at the youth department of Grêmio. In 1997, the footballer became the holder of Copa do Brasil. In 1999, he was awarded the title of champion of Copa Sul Minas.
During 1999/2000 season Paulo was loaned to Kawasaki Frontale and Botafogo. In 2004, after the contract with Grêmio had come to an end, the midfielder was hired by Sporting CP.
Tinga didn’t stay long in Portugal, moving back to Brazil in 2005. The 2005/2006 season would find the player representing Internacional. The time spent with the club turned to be a success, as he made starts at almost all the matches and won the 2006 Libertadores Cup. In 2006, a three-year contract was signed with the German Borussia Dortmund. In total, Paulo scored 9 goals in 99 appearances for the squad. In 2010, he was welcomed back to Internacional to claim another Libertadores Cup. In a year Tinga became the champion of the 2011 Recopa Sudamericana.
Nascimento was snapped by Cruzeiro in 2012. He continues to perform for the Brazilian side. He also used to represent the Brazil national squad from 2001 until 2007, appearing 4 times for the team.
