Tomáš Necid is a striker of Czech origin who represents CSKA Moscow. He was born on August 13, 1989 in Prague, Czechoslovakia.
Tomáš commenced his senior career at SK Slavia Prague in 2006. In the 2007/08 season Necid debuted in the UEFA Champions League. However, he moved to Jablonec on loan for the rest of the season. He established himself as one of the key players in the team, netting 5 in 13 matches and helping the club to avoid the drop to a lower division. Despite being on good terms with the club’s management, Necid refused to pledge his future to Jablonec. He returned to Slavia and notched 13 goals in 32 matches.
His height and clinical finishing ability sparked interest of the scouts of CSKA Moscow. In 2009 Tomáš Necid completed a move to CSKA. On March 7, 2009 he celebrated his first-team debut in the Russian Super Cup, coming on as a substitute in the 78th minute and blasting the winning goal in the 113th minute.
In the summer 2013 Necid was loaned to a Greek side PAOK and later on to Slavia Prague.
In 2006 he was the top scorer at the UEFA European Under-17 Football Championship with 5 goals in 5 matches, assisting the Czech Republic in winning a silver medal. Necid also became the top scorer at 2008 UEFA European Under-19 Football Championship, helping his team to reach semi-finals. On 19 November 2008 he celebrated his debut for the senior national team in the 3-0 thrashing of San Marino.
