Tomás Eduardo Rincón Hernández is a Venezuelan footballer who plays for the Bundesliga side Hamburger SV.
Tomás was born on January 13, 1988 in San Cristobal, Venezuela. He wore the jerseys of UA Maracaibo before joining Zamora FC in January 2007. During his two-year stay at the club he started 31 matches and netted one goal. In July 2008, Rincón moved to Deportivo Táchira where he made 18 appearances.
In January 2009 Tomás attracted the interest of the German outfit HSV. Soon the player was loaned out to the club. On February 20, 2009 he clinched a four-year deal with Hamburg. Tomás impressed his new manager with a string of accomplished displays at midfield. Since then he has been a regular feature of Hamburg squads and has participated in more than 60 matches.
In 2006 Rincón won his first cap for Venezuela at U20 level. In July 2011 he was called up to the senior Venezuelan squad for the forthcoming 2011 Copa América. Now the midfielder is a captain and a key member of his national team. He has won more than 40 international caps so far.
