Tommaso Berni is a goalkeeper of Torino. He was born on 6 March 1983 in Florence, Italy.
Tommaso started youth career in his hometown club ACF Fiorentina. Berni managed to become one of the best academy’s goalkeepers before moving to Inter Milan youth system in 1999. In 2000 Berni signed his first professional contract with Inter but didn’t manage to take part in at least one fixture of the team. In 2001 Tommaso moved to Wimbledon FC but only had to cope with the role of backup keeper there.
In 2003 the Italian put a pen to paper of a contract with Ternana where he finally succeeded in becoming the regular goalkeeper and made 82 appearances for the club during three years.
In 2006 Tommaso penned a long-term contract with Lazio. Berni became the club’s second-choice goalkeeper and took part in eight matches of the team. In 2009 the Italian was loaned to Salernitana where he played 16 games. In 2011 Sporting Braga signed Berni as a backup goalkeeper.
In August 2012 the player joined Serie A club Sampdoria and one year later switched for Torino.
Since 1999 to 2005 Tommaso Berni was capped 27 times for the Italy U-15, U-16, U-17, U-19, U-20 and U-21 national teams.
