Tommaso Rocchi is an Italian striker. He was born on 19 September 1977 in Venice, Italy.
Tommaso’s youth career started at Venezia football academy. During 7 years Rocchi starred at Venezia youth team, scoring many goals. In 1994 Tommaso was scouted and signed by Juventus. During 2 years Tommaso studied at Juve academy.
In 1995 Rocchi signed his first professional contract with Juventus. During his debut season at The Old Lady Tommaso didn’t make a single appearance and was sent on loan to Pro Patria for 1996/97 season.
At Pro Patria Tommaso made 27 appearances and scored 6 goals for half a season. In January 1997 Rocchi was loaned to Fermana and appeared in 4 games of the club for half a season until 1997.
From 1997 to 2000 Rocchi played on loan for Saronno and as a permanent player at Como. Both clubs’ management liked Tomasso and eagerly put him in the starting 11. During 3 seasons at Saronno and Como Tomasso made a total of 90 appearances and scored 30 goals. In 2000 Rocchi signed for Treviso and officially joined the club in the summer of that same year. During the 2000/01 season Tommaso was a key striker at Treviso scoring 8 in 37 appearances.
In 2001 Tommaso joined Empoli on a very good contract as his career entered a completely new level. Tommaso played as a regular striker for the Italian club during 3 seasons scoring 28 goals in 104 appearances.
In 2004 Rocchi moved to S.S. Lazio for a successful 8-year spell being a model striker with a total of 82 goals in 241 matches. In January 2013 Inter Milan secured his services till the end of 2012/2013 campaign. In November the same year Tommaso signed a deal with Padova till the end of the season.
Rocchi was part of Lazio winning squad at Coppa Italia 2008/09 and at Supercoppa Italiana 2009. From 2006 to 2007 Rocchi was capped 3 times for Italy. In 2008 he earned 2 caps and scored 1 goal for Olympic Italy team.
