Antonio Doblas Santana was born in 1980 in Bellavista, Spain.
After graduating from Real Betis youth system he went on playing with the reserve team during four seasons and for the 2003/04 season he was sent on loan to Xerez CD. In October 2004, Toni made his first appearance for Real Betis main squad in a 2-0 win against Getafe CF. He became the first-choice and helped the team to win the 2005 Copa del Rey final match against CA Osasuna. He also helped Betis to the 2005/06 UEFA Champions League qualification. After the 2005/06 La Liga campaign Doblas lost his first-choice position. In the 2007/08 season, Doblas picked up an injury and was sidelined for five months.
In summer 2008, Toni switched to Real Zaragoza for a season and after that he had a spell at SD Huesca. In 2010, he had another spell with Zaragoza and a season-long loan at Xerez CD.
In 2013 the goalie played for Khazar Lankaran, Azerbaijan. At the beginning of 2014 he penned a short-term deal with Napoli.
