Toni Šunjić is a professional Bosnian footballer, born on December 15, 1988 in Mostar, SFR Yugoslavia.
Toni Šunjić started to play football at the age of 10 at a youth school of Zrinjski Mostar HŠK. Later the club became the one the footballer spent most part of his career at. The young defender gained his first play experience performing for the junior squad of the side.
In 2008 Toni Šunjić signed up with Zrinjski Mostar HŠK at the professional level and played in the first string for 4 years, having scored 3 goals in 70 matches. In the season of 2008/2009 the defender and his team won the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In 2010 Toni Šunjić went on loan to Kortrijk KV (Belgium) for the season of 2010/2011 and took part in 13 fixtures of the club.
In 2012 the Bosnian footballer signed a contract with Zorya Luhansk FC. The young promising player broke into the first team almost at once and gained the love of his club fans.
Two years later he moved to a Russian side Kuban Krasnodar.
In 2008 Toni Šunjić was capped for the Bosnia and Herzegovina National U21 Football Team and represented his country in 10 matches. In 2012 he started to play for the Bosnia and Herzegovina National Football Team.
