Uche Nwofor is a striker of VVV-Venlo. He was born on 17 September 1991 in Lagos, Nigeria.
Uche’s career took off in Anambra Pillars. In the summer 2009, the footballer was sent on a season-long loan to Shooting Stars and fired six goals for the temporary team during his spell. In August 2011, the Nigerian player penned a contract with Dutch side VVV-Venlo, despite the fact Benfica scouts were observing his progress. On 11 September 2011, Nwofor netted his first goal for the new club, thus contributing to a 3-3 draw with PSV Eindhoven.
In April the same year, the footballer made his first appearance for the Nigeria national U-20 team and found the net four times in five games in the 2011 African Youth Championship, thus becoming the top goalscorer of the tournament. As a result, Nigeria won its sixth title, and Uche was named the Player of the Week.
Several months later, Nwofor took part in the FIFA U-20 World Cup hosted by Colombia. He impressed the spectators by going on to net two times in six minutes.
