Vadim is a Norwegian footballer of Russian ethnicity who plays centre back for Eintracht Frankfurt.
Till the age of 16 Vadim couldn’t choose between handball and football and went in for both of them, but at last he fixed upon the latter. Since then his Norwegian club career included several teams such as Sandefjord, Manglerud Star (on loan), Hønefoss and Rosenborg. In the latter he spent two seasons (2008-2010) and in the season 2008/2009 had the biggest number of appearances among his teammates and was 6 times featured in the starting eleven for the UEFA Cup. In 2009 he won the title of Norwegian championship.
In 2010 Demidov signed the contract with Real Sociedad. In 2011 it came into force and on January 29 Demidov already made his La Liga debut. In Sociedad Demidov got 36 appearances and scored none. In 2012 the footballer signed a three-year agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt.
Demidov participated in every U-team of Norway and in some games he even found himself to be a captain. On April 28, 2008 he made his Norway first national team debut in the friendly with Uruguay. In spring 2009 Vadim was suggested to consider the possibility of his appearance for the Russian national football team. But in September 2010 the defender represented Norway national squad in the UEFA Euro 2012 qualifying campaign match against Portugal and as he had already been listed by Norway the possibility of getting a cap for Russia national team became automatically out of the question.
In the beginning of 2013 Vadim joined Celta Vigo on loan.
