Veliče Šumulikoski is a Macedonian defender, born on 24 April 1981 in Struga, SFR Yugoslavia.
Veliče started his football career journey, when joined FC Celje in 1999. There he spent three seasons, getting playing experience in 56 matches and netting 4 goals on the way. In 2002 the player moved to FC Slovácko, where he made 55 appearances and hit the net on 7 occasions during his two-year spell at the club.
In 2004 the player decided to leave his homeland and travelled to Russia, where he signed for the local heavyweights FC Zenit Saint Petersburg. There he also made his mark with 46 appearances and 1 goal within two seasons. Later he continued his career at FC Bursaspor, adding another 30 matches to his stats.
His next destination was FC Ipswich Town, based in England, which he joined in 2008. There he spent an illustrious season, playing an important role in the club’s backline. However, the club decided to sell the player at the end of the season and Šumulikoski signed a deal with FC Preston North End. However, he failed to become a regular starter at his second English club and was transferred to FC Sibir Novosibirsk in 2010. Soon he rediscovered his best form playing for the Russian outfit and even became the first-team captain before the beginning of his second season at the club. Altogether he made 43 appearances and scored 2 goals during his stay at FC Sibir. The player left the club in February 2012, when agreed a deal with the Chinese side FC Tianjin Teda.
One year later the player moved to Europe joining a Czech side Slovácko.
Šumulikoski first debuted at the senior international level in 2002, as a part of the Macedonia national football team.
