A Spanish footballer José Antonio García Rabasco, also known as Verza, performs as a midfielder for UD Almería in the Spanish second division. Verza was born on 29 September 1986 in Orihuela, Alicante.
After finishing his youth career, José was selected for the b team of Villarreal, where his professional career began. The two seasons spent defending the reserves were lined with Antonio’s good game. In 2003, he got his first chance on the club’s main squad. He made four appearances for the team. In 2005, the midfielder agreed on a temporary deal with Recreativo. He appeared 15 times for the temporary side.
In the summer 2005, Verza joined Córdoba. The move turned to be a success, as the midfielder got an opportunity to reveal his potential, as he was given enough playing time. The 2005/2006 season was lined with 33 appearances made. In 2007, José moved to Orihuela. The player defended the club until the summer 2008. The spell was lined with six balls netted in 52 games.
In 2008, a three-year contract was penned with Albacete. This period was the most fortunate in the footballer’s playing career. He became the squad’s anchor player and made starts in almost all the club’s fixtures. Altogether, the player appeared 100 times and scored 12 goals. In the summer 2011, Verza opted to join Almeria. His debut season at the club was lined with 38 appearances and one scored goal.
On international level, Verza was called up two times for the Spain national youth team. He performed for U-17 and U-19 squads.
