Víctor Bernárdez is a Honduran defender currently playing for San Jose Earthquakes in the MLS. He was born on 24 May 1982 in La Ceiba, Honduras.
Víctor began his career at a hometown side Vida in 2003. Despite a short spell at the club, he managed to bring out his full potential which caught interest of Honduran giants Motagua. Bernárdez eventually switched to Moagua in 2004. He had a prolific 2006/07 season as he won the Apertura tournament of the Honduran Liga Nacional and Copa Interclubes UNCAF together with the team. In 2009, Bernárdez switched to Belgian Anderlecht and recorded the Belgian Pro League title in his debut season with the club. In 2011, the Honduran defender had short loan spells at Lierse and Mexican side Indios. In 2012, he transferred to American team San Jose Earthquakes and plays there today.
Víctor Bernárdez is regularly caped for the Honduras national team since 2004.
