Víctor Ruiz Torre currently plays a central defender for Valencia CF.
The first club of the player was Espanyol. He made his debut on December 6, 2009 against Racing Santander and the first goal that he scored for his team was in a game against Malaga in February of 2010. Víctor spent his first season as a main squad player there with 2 goals in 22 games. This very fact and Nicolás Pareja’s leave for Spartak Moscow helped him to become a key player for the club.
He moved to Napoli on loan in January of 2011 with the priority of the Italian side in purchasing the player. This option was made use of and Ruiz moved to Italy on a 4-year agreement that cost € 6 million. Jesús Dátolo had to move to Espanyol as a part of that deal.
The Spaniard made his first appearance for the club in the Europa League against Villarreal. That was his first appearance in an international tournament.
On March 13, came on his first match in the Serie A against Parma.
In summer of 2011 he penned a deal with Valencia thus returning to his motherland.
