A Uruguayan footballer Mauricio Bernardo Victorino Dansilo acts as a defender for Cruzeiro. He was born on 11 October 1982 in Montevideo.
Mauricio started his career at the academy of Nacional. In 2004, he made a full-scale start at the professional level joining the club’s senior team. But hardly had the defender put pen to paper of a pro contract, when a loan to Plaza Colonia happened. His debut season was lined with 16 appearances made and 3 goals netted for the temporary squad. In 2005, Victorino returned to the parent club and managed two fabulous seasons. He was twice the winner of Primera División Uruguaya (2005, 2006) during the spell.
The 2006/2007 season Mauricio spent playing for Veracruz, where he became the pivot, featuring in 28 matches and scoring 3 goals. In 2007, the footballer opted to come back to his previous club – Nacional. Together with the squad he again won the title in Primera División Uruguaya.
In 2009, Victorino’s contract was bought out by Universidad de Chile, where he spent two seasons. In 2011, the defender was hired by Cruzeiro.
In 2006, Mauricio got his first invitation to perform for the Uruguay national squad. He became the champion of the 2011 Copa América.
