Vilmos Vanczák is a Hungarian defender currently playing for Sion in the Swiss Super League. He was born on 20 June 1983 in Miskolc, Hungary.
Vilmos came up through the youth ranks of Hungarian clubs Diósgyőri VTK, Vasas SC and Újpest FC. In 2002, he was promoted to the first team of his hometown Újpest. During a four-year stint at the club, excluding a short loan-spell at Fóti SE in 2002, Vanczák made a total of 91 appearances. In the 2006/07 season, he joined the Belgian club Sint-Truiden on loan from Újpest amassing 30 matches with the temporary team. In 2007, the defender moved to Swiss to join Sion in the Swiss Super League. Vanczák won the Swiss Cup twice, in the 2008/09 and 2010/11 seasons.
Vilmos Vanczák is capped to the Hungary national team since 2004. He scored his maiden international goal in a friendly against Russia. Vanczák scored another important goal in a Euro 2012 qualifier against Moldova.
