Vitaliy Rudenko performs as a goalkeeper for FC Metalurh Zaporizhya. He was born on 26 January 1981 in Odessa, Ukraine.
Rudenko started his professional career in 1997, performing for SC Odesa. During first two seasons the footballer secured himself the manager’s support. In fact, the manager provided the player with a maximum playing practice, so that Vitaliy could feel the game and be confident in his skills.
In 1999, the goalkeeper moved to FC Chornomorets Odesa. Rudenko performed for the club for 11 years. The footballer didn’t become a key player in the starting line-up in his debut season, as the manager wanted to study Rudenko’s skills properly before inserting him into the starting line-up.
The player took advantage of every match, as well as of every training to get the playing practice. Eventually, there was no doubt in Vitaliy’s professionalism, and he became a key player in FC Chornomorets, performing in many matches for the club during the period of 11 years. In 2010, Vitaliy Rudenko left FC Chornomorets Odesa, having played in 187 matches.
In the summer of 2010, FC Karpaty Lviv bought the goalkeeper, in order to take advantage of his high professional level. However, Rudenko played only in seven games, after which he moved on loan to FC Metalurh Zaporizhya for a few months. It was sufficient for the manager to realize the necessity of inviting the player as a reserve goalkeeper. Since the summer of 2011, Rudenko became a regular player of FC Metalurh Zaporizhya.
In 2003, Vitaliy Rudenko performed in 12 matches for the Ukraine national U-21 team.
