Vitorino Hilton is a central defender of French club Montpellier HSC. He was born on 13 September 1977 in the capital of Brazil – Brasilia.
Hilton’s senior career as a footballer started in 1996 when he joined Chapecoense FC. For that club he played over a period of three years but only nominally. Actually Hilton did not participate in a single match for his first club.
In 2000 Vitorino transferred to Paraná Clube. During one season he appeared in 13 matches scoring 1 goal.
In 2002 Vitorino was called up to Servette FC for which he played until 2004. Over a period of two years Hilton enjoyed the manager’s trust. During that time the football player took part in 72 matches and scored 3 goals.
In the year 2004 Vitorino took great interest in SC Bastia. But the club did not want to sign a permanent contract with the player and only loaned out Hilton until the summer of 2004. However the period was quite productive as the footballer appeared in 14 matches.
As Vitorino showed him off to good advantage at the UEFA European Football Championship the player was called up to RC Lens. It was one of the most successful periods in Vitorino’s career. At RC Lens Hilton was an effective element for the major team. The fact that in 4 years the footballer participated in 122 games scoring 8 goals speaks volumes.
In the summer of 2008 Vitorino was scouted by several professional football clubs. This time it was Marseille with which Hilton signed a contract the same year. For that club the footballer played until 2011. In three years spent in Marseille Vitorino featured in 56 matches and kicked 2 goals.
In 2011 Vitorino Hilton continued his career in Montpellier HSC that also plays in Ligue 1. In less than a year Hilton has already appeared in 15 matches and scored 1 goal.
