Volodymyr Polyovyi is a defender at Metalurh Donetsk. He was born on July 28, 1985 in Zaporizhya, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union.
Having played for such minor clubs as Borysfen-2 Boryspil FC (2001-2002), Dynamo-3 Kyiv FC (2002) and Metalurh-2 Zaporizhya FC (2002-2003) Volodymyr Polyovyi joined Metalurh Zaporizhya FC in 2004. Breaking into the first team turned out to be a real challenge for the player, but he achieved his purpose and became a regular player in the middle of the 2000s thanks to his brilliant defending skills and reliability. Volodymyr Polyovyi made 138 appearances and 2 goals for Metalurh Zaporizhya FC.
In 2011, after negotiations between the boardrooms of Metalurh Zaporizhya FC and Arsenal Kyiv FC Volodymyr Polyovyi joined the latter. After 2 years with the capital side the player signed a new deal with Metalurh Donetsk.
Volodymyr Polyovyi made his international debut for the Ukraine National Football Team in 2010.
