Vyacheslav Podberyozkin was born on June 21, 1992 in Moscow.
When Vyacheslav was 8 years old he took up football at one of the sport schools of his native district. At the age of 10 he joined the CSKA youth academy. After graduating from it in 2010, Vyacheslav got summoned for the second team’s training camp that became his last with CSKA as after it the young midfielder was informed that the club decided not to keep him in.
Podberyouzkin went on his career in the amateur clubs of FC Alyans Moscow and FC KAIT-Sport Moscow meanwhile trying out for Cesena, Genoa and FC Lokomotiv Moscow. The latter try-out was the most successful and ended with Vyacheslav’s signing his first professional contract in 2011.
The head coach of Lokomotiv José Couceiro was deeply interested in the young midfielder and immediately drew him in the first squad’s training process. In 2012, Vyacheslav participated in the first side’s training camp in Portugal. Then he appeared in the friendly match with Atlético CP and netted his first goal for the main team. At the beginning of February the player was shortlisted for the UEFA Europe League and on April 22, he made his Premier League debut in the match against FC Rubin Kazan. Then he featured in the starting lineup and came off after the first time, being substituted by Maicon.
