Vyacheslav Shevchuk is a left back for Shakhtar Donetsk. He was born on 13 May 1979 in Lutsk, Ukraine.
Vyacheslav began his professional career in 1996 at Podillya Khmelnitsky, then moved to Metalurh Zaporizhya and in 2000 joined Shakhtar Donetsk. Two years later Shevchuk played for Metalurh Donetsk, Shinnik Yaroslavl and Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk. In 2005 Vyacheslav started to appear in the Shakhtar starting lineup. Shevchuk netted his first goal for Shakhtar on 7 August 2011, in a match against Kryvbas.
Vyacheslav Shevchuk is five-time winner of the Ukrainian Premier League, three-time winner of the Ukrainian Cup and the UEFA Cup in 2009.
Since 2003 Vyacheslav is regularly called up to the Ukraine national team. He was awarded the medal For Work and Courage for his personal contribution to the development of the Ukrainian football.
