A Uruguayan footballer Walter Gerardo Pandiani Urquiza was born on 27 April 1976 in Montevideo.
Pandiani started his senior career at such clubs as Progreso, Basañez and Peñarol. In 2000, the striker joined Deportivo La Coruña. Walter was the club’s top scorer and the regular member of the starting XI. The spell was also lined with several loans. In 2007, Walter joined Ossasuna. In total, he appeared 92 times and racked up 27 goals for the team. In 2011, the player rejoined the former side Espanyol for a term of a season. In the summer 2012, the striker opted to move to Villarreal from the Spanish second division. In 2013 he featured for Atlético Baleares and later joined a Uruguayan side Miramar Misiones.
On international level, Walter Pandiani made four appearances for the Uruguay full side. His international debut took place on 28 March 2001 in a game with Paraguay.
