Wes Morgan is a defender of Leicester City. He was born on 21 January 1984 in Nottingham, England.
Wes’s career took off in the academy of Notts County. The footballer cruised through several junior teams and drew the attention of Nottingham Forrest scouts. In 1999, Morgan was invited to the youth system of the new club. It took the defender three years to reach the professional level and earn an opportunity to join the main team.
In 2002, Wes penned a contract with Nottingham Forrest and started to make occasional appearances for the club. In 2003, the footballer was sent on loan to Kidderminster Harriers, where he took part in five fixtures and netted one goal during six months. After the end of his temporary spell, Morgan returned to his parent team, gained the head coach’s confidence and became a regular. The defender featured in 352 games and fired 12 goals for Nottingham Forrest during ten years.
In 2012, Wes completed a move to Leicester City and was given a place in the starting line-up at once. The footballer made 35 appearances and found the net one time for the new club as of November 2012.
