Yang Xu is a Chinese striker who currently performs for Shandong Luneng. He was born on February 12, 1987 in Dalian, China.
Yang Hu began his football journey with the youth set-up of Dalian Yiteng in 2001. He quickly caught the eye of Liaoning Whowin with his strong, classy and skillful displays and in 2003 he joined the club’s youth ranks. In 2005 the frontman was rewarded with a full-time contract after starring for the academy. His debut came on April 16, 2005 in the league tie against Shanghai Shenhua. His first senior goal was a wonderful strike against Shenzhen Jianlibao a month later. In 2008 Liaoning Whowin suffered relegation to the second tier but the player decided to stay with the club. In the 2009 campaign Yang Hu found the net 15 times in 22 matches helping his team return to the elite division.
Since 2013 the player has featured for Shandong Luneng.
His strength and finishing ability earned him a call-up to the China national team in 2009. He made his first start in the AFC Asian Cup qualifier against Vietnam on January 17, 2010. On July 23, 2011 China outclassed Laos thanks to Yang Hu’s hat-trick.
