Yegishe Melikyan is a retired Armenian defender. He was born on 13 August 1979 in Yerevan, Soviet Union.
Yegishe played for Dvin Artashat as a youngster, subsequently signing a professional deal with Araks Ararat. He also spent the 2000/2001 season at Banants Yerevan, before joining Metalurh Donetsk in 2002. From 2002 to 2009 Melikyan featured in 57 matches for the club. He also enjoyed loan spells at such clubs, as Stal Alchevsk, Banants, Ulisses and Zorya Luhansk.
In 2010 Melikyan completed a move to Ulisses Yerevan. He made 11 appearances for the side, before signing for Hoverla in 2010.
On 16 October 2002 Yegishe made his debut for Armenia in the Euro 2004 qualifier against Greece. From 2002 to 2007 Melikyan was regularly called up to the Armenia national team and participated in 29 international matches.
