Yevgeny Pomazan is a goalkeeper for Anzhi Makhachkala. He was born on 31 January 1989 in Angren, Uzbekistan. He is a graduate of FC Kuban Krasnodar youth academy.
Yevgeny’s club career started in 2007 at his alma mater, Russian football club Kuban Krasnodar. Unfortunately for Yevgeny, he couldn’t make it to the starting lineup and thus was sent out on loan to CSKA Moscow, where he spent the following 4 seasons. The last two seasons at CSKA Pomazan was a loaned goalkeeper for Ural Sverdlovsk Oblast and Spartak Nalchik, making a total of 25 appearances for the two clubs.
On 31 August, 2011 Yevgeny joined a major Makhachkala football club Anzhi. In 2013/2014 season he played on loan for Ural.
From 2005 to 2009 Pomazan played for Russia U-17 and U-21 teams, and since 2011 he is called up to play for Russia-2.
Yevgeny is best remembered for winning bronze in Russian Premier League 2007, winning Russian Cup in 2008 and 2009, Junior European Championships in 2006, and UEFA-CAF Meridian Cup in 2007.
In 2009 Yevgeny Pomazan became Champion of Russian Super Cup.
