Yohann Thuram-Ulien is a French goalkeeper of Guadeloupean origin. He currently defends the colours of Standard Liege. Yohann is the cousin of Lilian Thuram.
Born in France, he spent most of his childhood in Guadeloupe. In 1997 the promising goalie joined the amateur club Bourdons Esnouveaux. A year later he became part of Phare du Canal set-up where he spent five seasons. In 2003 Yohann continued his youth career in Monaco.
He made considerable development while playing for Monaco`s youth squad. So in 2008 the keeper sealed his first professional contract. He was assigned number 1. On November 29, 2008 the goalie made his first start in the match against Auxerre. Later he made one more appearance, this time against Sochaux. However Yohann had to sit out the rest of the campaign as he was regarded as a third-choice keeper. That`s why in 2010 he was sent on loan to Tours in order to gain experience and develop his skills. On June 26, 2010 the French keeper extended his spell at Monaco until 2012. When his contract expired, he joined the newly promoted team Troyes AC. Upon the club’s relegation from the French top-flight Thuram moved to a Belgian side Standard.
Yohann Thuram-Ulien won a cap to France U-21 futsal team. On February 5, 2009 he was selected for France U-21 team.
