Younès Belhanda plays as a midfielder for Dynamo Kyiv. He was born on 25 February 1990 in Avignon (France).
Belhanda’s career as a footballer began in 1997 when he joined the youth team of RC Aramonais where he played over a period of one year. In 1998 Younès moved to the football academy of MJC Avignon where he successfully studied for five years. He also played for the club’s youth football team in the youth football championship. In 2003 a talented midfielder caught the eye of the scouts from Montpellier. To ascertain Belhanda’s football skills he was called up to Montpellier where he participated in an exhibition match. The whole coach staff, which observed his play, highly appreciated Younès. The club’s management offered the young talent to transfer to their academy and continue the education. Younès accepted the offer from the club which played in Ligue 1. From 2003 till 2009 Younès grew as part of the Montpellier football academy until he was promoted to the first team squad as he was working hard during training and performed well at youth team games. This also meant that Younès was awarded professional contract the first one in his career as a footballer. In summer 2009 Younès agreed to the offer and signed a contract that kept him at the French club till the summer 2013. Younès managed to notch up 23 goals in 117 matches for the club.
In the summer 2013 the Moroccan completed a move to Dynamo Kyiv.
In 2010 Younès twice was called up to the France U-20 football team. Since 2010 Younès has been invited to the Morocco national football team.
