Yu Dabao is a midfielder of Dalian Aerbin in the Chinese Super League. He was born on 18 April 1988 in Qingdao, China. In 1997 he joined the football academy of Qingdao Hainiu and spent three years there.
This stage of Yu’s career was very significant as he managed to develop his skills greatly. In 2001 Yu moved to the academy of Guangdong Mingfeng and a year later to Qingdao Hailifeng. In 2004 the Chinese managed to take part in the first match of his senior career.
In 2006 the talented midfielder was scouted by Benfica and offered to join their famous academy with the possibility to continue his professional career there. In 2007 the contract was signed but the player didn’t manage to take part in at least one fixture of the club as he was immediately loaned to Aves. The midfielder played in nine fixtures of the club during the first part of 2007/2008 season. Later he was also loaned to Olivais Moscavide and Mafra.
In 2010 Yu returned in China as an experienced midfielder. His skills were highly valued by the head coach of his new club Tianjin Teda. The Chinese managed to take part in 47 fixtures of the team and fired in twelve goals during one year and a half. Since 2012 Dabao is a Dalian Aerbin player.
From 2005 to 2006 Yu Dabao had been capped 23 times and amassed 17 goals for China U-17 national team. Since 2010 he is a member of China national team. He managed to take part in eight matches and found the net once (up to December 2012).
