Yu Yang is a Chinese defender who currently performs for Beijing Guoan. He was born on August 6, 1989 in Tianjin, China.
Yu Yang commenced his youth career with Beijing Guoan. In 2008 he penned professional forms with the club and enjoyed promotion to the first team. The player made his league debut against Shanghai Shenhua on June 29, 2008. But his lack of experience forced him to embark on a loan spell at Dalian Aerbin F.C. in 2009. During his loan stint Yu Yang helped Dalian Aerbin F.C. land the league title. Back in Beijing Guoan, the strong defender was immediately inserted in the starting eleven. On May 30, 2011 he grabbed his maiden goal at Shenzhen Ruby.
The footballer’s fine form earned him a call-up to the national team. On June 8, 2012 Yu Yang made his competitive debut for China in the friendly against Vietnam.
