Yunus Malli was born on 24 February 1992 in Kassel, Germany. He is a German footballer, but of Turkish origin. Yunus performs as an attacking midfielder.
Malli began his career playing for Sportfreunde-Fasanenhof, which he represented until 2003. Thereafter the footballer moved to VfL Kassel. In the new team Yunus played for four seasons, and in 2007 was transferred to Borussia Mönchengladbach. In 2010, the player got into the reserves, starting playing in the Regionalliga. There he scored two goals, attracting the attention of Mainz 05 scouts. Soon Yunus Malli cancelled his contract with Borussia and became a part of FSV Mainz 05 team, having undersigned the contract till 2013. On 22 October 2011, the German footballer of Turkish origin made his debut in Bundesliga match against Hertha, in which Yunus appeared on the field, substituting Ivanschitz during the 73rd minute. In total, Malli made eleven appearances for Mainz, not getting on the scoresheet. The player moved to the reserve team seven times, where he distinguished himself five times.
Yunus Malli played on three levels for the German national team. He began performing in the U-17 team, which became 2009 European champion. In the same team the footballer participated in the World Championship, making two appearances. At the next stage he performed for the U-18 team, playing seven matches and netting his first two goals. Thereafter Yunus was called up to represent the U-19, for which he played one more match.
