Yuriy Pankiv is a professional goalkeeper currently performing for Metalurh Donetsk. He was born on November 3, 1984 in Lviv, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union.
From 1998 till 2001 Yuriy Pankiv trained to play football at the academy of such clubs as Karpaty Lviv FC, UFK Lviv and Volyn Lutsk FC. In 2001, he signed a professional contract with Karpaty Lviv FC and joined Karpaty-2 Lviv FC. From 2001 till 2004 he also played for Halychyna-Karpaty Lviv FC.
In 2005, the goalkeeper went on loan to Enerhetyk Burshtyn FC, later to Hazovyk-Skala Stryi FC and Lviv FC (in 2006). In 2007 Yuriy Pankiv was transferred to Desna Chernihiv FC, but he was fielded only once and moved to Nyva Ternopil FC and stayed there for one season.
In 2009, Yuriy Pankiv joined Oleksandria PFC. Three years at the club became the most successful stage of the goalkeeper’s career because at that time the head coach useded him in the first string.
In the summer of 2012 Yuriy Pankiv joined Arsenal Kyiv FC and started the season of 2012/13 as one of the Cannoneers. However, half a season later he moved to Donetsk and joined Metalurh.
