Zhang Shuo is a Chinese forward currently playing for Guangzhou R&F in the Chinese Super League. He was born on 17 September 1983 in Beijing, China.
Zhang started out his youth career with Tianjin Teda in 2000, before joining the first team of the club in 2002. In the 2003 season, he cemented his place in the starting eleven by scoring 6 goals in 26 matches. Overall, he netted 31 goals in 131 matches during his two-year stint at the club. In March 2010, Zhang Shuo joined the Indonesian side Persik Kediri and in a few months moved to Newcastle Jets in Australia. In 2011, Zhang returned to China and signed for then- China League One side Guangzhou R&F. he turned to be a fantastic asset for the club scoring 8 goals in 22 matches during his debut season and thus helping the side to return to the Chinese Super League for the 2012 campaign.
In between 2003 and 2005, Zhang Shuo earned 10 international caps to the China PR national team. He scored his maiden international goal in a friendly 6-0 win over Lebanon on 3 July 2004.
