Zhang Xiaobin is a Chinese footballer who performs as a midfielder for Beijing Guoan. He was born on February 14, 1985 in Zhangjiakou, China.
In his teenage years Zhang Xiaobin played with Shaanxi Guoli before joining the youth system of Stockport County. Despite training hard, the midfielder failed to establish himself as a first-team regular. In 2004 he switched to New Zealand Knights where he launched his senior career. Zhang Xiaobin debuted on August 28, 2005 when his team faced Queensland Roar. But during his stay at the club the midfielder predominantly warmed the bench, making only 8 appearances and netting one goal. From 2007 to 2009 Zhang Xiaobin wore the jerseys of Chinese top-tier club Changsha Ginde. In 2010 he joined another Chinese club, this time Tianjin Teda. That move was a huge success, as the player became the vital member of the first team. He totaled 34 appearances for the club. But after a row with his manager in 2012, Zhang Xiaobin made the move to Beijing Guoan.
