Zhang Xizhe is a Chinese midfielder who now represents Beijing Guoan. He was born on January 23, 1991 in Wuhan, China.
Zhang Xizhe launched his senior career with Beijing Guoan in 2009. The player debuted as a replacement for Yang Hao in the league encounter against Shandong Luneng. The young midfielder put in several solid performances but failed to cement a place in the club’s starting eleven. He was subsequently loaned out to Beijing Guoan Talent. His loan stint saw the footballer make 5 starts and bag 2 goals. On his return to Beijing Guoan, Zhang Xizhe showed good composure by netting twice in the league tie against Henan Construction on August 22, 2010.
He was a permanent fixture in the China U-20 squad that participated in the 2010 AFC U-19 Championship. A year later Zhang Xizhe enjoyed promotion to the China national team, making his debut on March 29, 2011 in the friendly encounter against Costa Rica.
