Zhu Jianrong is a Chinese forward, born on 12 July 1991 in Qingdao, China.
In 2005 Zhu passed the trial with the youth football academy of his hometown club FC Qingdao Jonoon. After the trial he immediately joined one of the academy youth squads, which corresponded to his age. There the player made a promising start of his career, gradually moving up through the academy’s ranks. Altogether he spent there 3 years, during which he managed to develop his natural skills and get ready to the professional career.
Being considered a hot prospect, he soon received an offer to sign a senior deal with the club and joined the FC Qingdao Jonoon first-team squad in 2009. His debut was not long to come, as he featured in a match against FC Hangzhou Greentown on 23 March 2009, which ended in a 3-1 defeat for his team. Unfortunately, Zhu failed to score even a goal during the very first season of his professional career, despite the fact that his passing and shooting were always sharp.
Jianrong finally managed to open his goalscoring record on 17 April 2010 during a 3-3 draw in a game against FC Liaoning Whowin and later continued to show his prolific play, gradually gaining more and more confidence with each game.
At the international level, the forward represented the China U20 squad during the 2010 AFC U-19 Championship. Zhu managed to score a goal in 4 appearances during the tournament, before his team was kicked out of the tournament at the quarter-finals stage.
