Zoltán Stieber was born on 16 October 1988 in Sárvár, Hungary.
Stieber started his youth career in Budapest-based clubs Goldball ‘94 and Újpest. In 2005 he joined Aston Villa Academy signing a two-year contract with the club. After impressive performances for the Academy Zoltán was invited to play for the reserve team. The footballer showed a bright play during the 2006/07 season and was rewarded with a new three-year contract. In 2007 Stieber was given his first taste of senior-team action. Not having made a competitive breakthrough to the main team, he was loaned out to Yeovil Town. The Hungarian netted 1 goal in 15 appearances for the temporary club. On his return to Aston Villa the player didn’t make it to the main squad, so he moved to the 2nd Bundesliga side TuS Koblenz. It did not take long for Stieber to become a regular starter. In total, he amassed 5 goals in 38 matches for the club.
In his following club Alemannia Aachen, Zoltán managed to find the net ten times and provide 17 assists in 34 games becoming one of the best goalscorers in the team. This opened him the way to Mainz 05, where he made only 10 appearances both for the reserve and first teams. Therefore in 2012 Stieber penned a four-year contract with SpVgg Greuther Fürth.
Zoltán represents Hungary at international level.
