Baltika is a football club, based in Kaliningrad, Russia. It was formed in 1954 and was initially named Pishchevik Kaliningrad but in 1958 its name was changed to Baltika.
Since 1957 the team competed in the Soviet league, initially in Class B, then in Class A, Group II and between 1971 and 1991 they played in Second League. After the dissolution of the USSR, Baltika joined the third tier of Russian football league system in 1992 and shortly after that they advanced to the First Division (second tier). In 1995 the team won the First Division thus promoting to the top division, where they were sixth in 1996.
In 1998 Baltika dropped out from Russian Premier League, in 2002 and in 2005 they relegated to the Second Division (third tier) and advanced to the second tier both times.
Baltika Stadium in Kaliningrad has a capacity of 14,660.
