Bunyodkor PFK (Bunyodkor Professional Football Club) is a football club in Uzbekistan, located in Tashkent. It was founded in 2005 and initially was named Neftgazmontaj-Quruvchi. They began to play in Tashkent region and advanced to the second level of football league system, Uzbekistan First League. After a season in the second tier the team won it and was promoted to the Uzbek League.
Their debut season in the top division was a success as they finished in runners-up. In 2008 Bunyodkor made their debut in AFC Champions League and advanced to the semifinals. In September 2008 Brazilian star Rivaldo joined Bunyodkor and Zico was appointed the team’s manager, though Zico left for CSKA Moscow in January 2009 and in February 2011 Rivaldo left the club.
Since 2008 Bunyodkor won four consecutive league titles, in 2008, 2011 and 2012 they won Uzbek Cup titles. In 2012 the team was the semifinalist of AFC Champions League.
Bunyodkor Stadium, where they play their home games has a capacity of 34,000 seats.
