HNK Cibalia is a Croatian football club located in Vinkovci. The side currently performs in the Druga HNL.
Its history began in 1919. Six years later HGŽK Cibalia Vinkovci merged with RŠK Sloga but soon the club folded up. The resurgence began in 1945 when another merger took place. As a result, NK Dinamo Vinkovci was born. But it was only in 1982 that the club was allowed to enter the Yugoslav First League. Soon the team’s form slumped and it fell into the Yugoslav Second League in 1987.
In 1990 the club switched to its current name. In 1999 the Sky-blues participated in the Croatian Cup Final. In the 2003/2004 campaign Cibalia suffered relegation to Druga HNL but the team made a fantastic return the following season. Finishing third in the 2009/2010 season was good enough to earn a spot in the Europa League. However, Cibalia failed to qualify for the group stages losing to Cliftonville from Northern Ireland.
The club plays its home matches at Stadion Cibalia.
