The Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente or Xolos de Tijuana is a football club in Mexico, located in Tijuana. The club was established in 2006 and later was named Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles De Caliente.
The first title they won was the Apertura 2010, where they beat Veracruz 3-0 on aggregate. In 2011 Tijuana won the Promotion Final at the expense of Irapuato thus promoting to the top division.
The club bought such footballers as Leandro Augusto, Egidio Arévalo, Fernando Arce, José Sandand Dayro Moreno in the summer of 2011. Their first league match was a 1-2 home loss at Monarcas and by the end of the season they were close to relegation. After Antonio Mohamed was appointed the head coach the team gradually improved their performance. Tijuana made it to the playoffs in the 2012 Clausura and managed to claim the 2012 Clausura title, beating Toluca, Monterrey in the quarterfinal and León in the semifinal.
Club Tijuana is shortly named Xolos. The team’s home ground is the Estadio Caliente, which has a capacity for 33,333 spectators.
