Dinamo Brest

History and achievements

Dinamo Brest is a football club in Belarus, named after the city it is located in. It was founded in 1960 and initially was called Spartak Brest, then its name was changed several times: Bug Brest, Dinamo Brest and FC Brest. In 1992 the team won bronze at Belarusian Premier League.

In the period between 1960 and 1993 the team competed mostly in the third level of Belarusian football and had four seasons in the second tier.

Since 1992 the team competes in the top flight. In 1992, 1993/94 and 2002 Brest achieved the semifinals of the domestic cup and in 2007 they finally won the Belarusian Cup. In 2007/08 Dinamo Brest qualified for the UEFA Cup but was eliminated by Liepajas Metalurgs in Round 1, losing in both matches.

The team’s kit is blue and white. Regional Sport Complex Brestskiy, where they play home matches, has a capacity of 10,060.
