Dinamo Samarqand is a football club in Uzbekistan. It was established in 1960 and was named Dinamo Samarqand, then the team’s name was changed several times and since 2008 they returned to their initial name. Since the dissolution of the USSR in 1992 the team began to compete in Uzbek League and between 1994 and 1998 they played in the second tier, Uzbek First League. In 2000 Dinamo Samarqand was runner-up in the Uzbek Cup and finished fourth in the top league.
