History and achievements

Girona is a football club that was created in 1930.

The team was founded at the meeting in the cafè Norat in La Rambla of Girona, after the local team UE Girona was disbanded. The side started competing in the second league of the Catalan Championship. The side has never played in the top tie of Spanish football, spending 17 seasons in Segunda División, 13 season in Segunda División (B) and 44 seasons in the third league.

The club also includes the youth side and the women’s team.Red and white are the colors of the club.

The chairman is Joaquim Boadas. The home ground is Estadi Montilivi that can hold up to 9,282.
