En Avant de Guingamp or EA Guingamp is a football club in France, named after the commune it is located in. The team was established in 1912 and throughout their history they haven’t competed a lot in the top division. Guingamp became a professional football club in 1984 and in 1990 the team’s home ground, Stade du Roudourou, was opened. The stadium has a capacity of 18,126. In 1994 the team won Championnat National and in 1995 advanced to the top division, where they played till 1998.
Guingamp was the runner-up of the 1997 Coupe de France and in 1996 the team won the UEFA Intertoto Cup. After two seasons in Division 2 they earned promotion in 2000 and till 2004 played in Ligue 1. Between 2004 and 2010 Guingamp played in Ligue 2 but then were relegated to Championnat National. In 2011 the team advanced from it. Two years later the club received promotion to Ligue 1.
Their highest achievement was the Coupe de France, which they won in 2009.
