FC Honka is a football club in Finland, located in Tapiola, Espoo. It was formed in in 1957 and initially had a name of Tapion Honka. In 1975 its name was changed to FC Honka. For a long period the team struggled for promotion to the top flight and in 2005 the new team’s chairmen, Jouko Pakarinen and Jouko Harjunpää, led the team to promotion, when FC Honka won the 2005 Ykkönen.
Since then the situation improved and the team performed much better. In 2008 and 2009 they were Veikkausliiga runners-up, in 2012 Honka won the Finnish Cup, previously they were second in the domestic cup tournament thrice (1969, 2007 and 2008). In 2010 and 2011 the team won Finnish League Cup titles.
Tapiolan urheilupuisto is Honka’s home venue, with a capacity of 6,000.
