NK Inter Zaprešić is a Croatian football club located in Zaprešić. The side currently performs in the Druga HNL.
The club was created in 1929, albeit under a different name – NK Sava. In 1991 Inter joined the newly created Prva HNL and finished fourth in its debut campaign. A year later Ilija Lončarević guided his side to the Croatian Cup and the Croatian Supercup triumph in 1992. Inter was the first Croatian club to play outside its homeland. Soon Inter began the slide which led to relegation to Druga HNL and later to Treća HNL.
At the onset of the XXI century the team was back on track and in 2003 the club cemented its place in the top tier. In the 2004/2005 campaign Keramičari finished second, achieving their highest league placing to date. In 2006 Inter Zaprešic dropped down a division again but was immediately promoted at the first attempt.
During the 2003/2004 season such famous Croatian internationals as Luka Modrić, Vedran Ćorluka and Eduardo defended the club’s colours.
