SS Juve Stabia is a football club from Castellammare di Stabia, Italy, founded in 1907. It has a long but unremarkable history. Throughout the years of existence, the team have changed several names and turned bankrupt three times.
The club of meager resources, Juve Stabia is firmly entrenched in the lower leagues of Italian football. Their historic campaign was in the 1950/51 season when they won Serie C and broke into Serie B for the first time in their history. After years of bouncing up and down between the third and the fifth divisions, the team returned to Serie B in the 2011/12 season and finished 9th in the table. Juve Stabia has never reached the top-flight Serie A.
The team are often nicknamed the Wasps and a wasp is also depicted on their logo. They play their home matches at Stadio Romeo Menti that can hold up to 12,800 people.
